High Quality Sushi at an Affordable Price

Moriichi is a little-known conveyor belt sushi chain that operates primarily in Tokyo and Chiba prefectures. Given the prices of the sushi dishes, you will be delighted by the outstanding quality of the neta (ingredients topped on sushi) and shari (rice base). To find the shop, head out the A3 exit of Tokyo Metro Jimbocho Station and walk along Hakusan-Dori Avenue towards Tokyo Dome for about 2-minutes.

The restaurant layout is simple: the conveyor belt revolves around the oval-shaped counter that overlooks an open kitchen. Pick up sushi plates and other dishes that suit your taste. If you can’t find your choice on the conveyor belt, you can order directly from the chefs standing behind the counter.

A distinct feature of this restaurant is the use of red vinegar which is uncommon in conveyor belt sushi chains. Red vinegar is indispensable in Edomae-style sushi since it greatly enhances the flavor of the shari.

Sushi, made with an umami-rich shari, can be enjoyed for a mere 180 yen per plate (2 pieces of sushi). Since there are so many types of sushi to choose from, we recommend you order the half and half option (2 different pieces of sushi on one plate) so that you can try many types.

Popular side dishes are chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and arajiru (miso soup with plenty of salmon).
