A Sister Restaurant of the Legendary Yoroniku

Namaiki is located on the second floor of a building located roughly halfway between JR Akihabara and Okachimachi Stations. The first floor is occupied by Osaka Ohsho, a beloved casual dining restaurant chain known mainly for its jumbo gyoza dumplings. It is just a minute walk from Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Look for a white noren (curtain) with a Japanese character written as “Niku” (Meat) and walk up to the second floor of the building.

Namaiki is a sister restaurant of Yoroniku, a highly rated Yakiniku restaurant in Aoyama, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of Tokyo. Compared to Yoroniku, Namaiki offers premium quality meats at reasonable prices. Namaiki is one of only a handful of Tokyo restaurants that can legally serve raw meat. Following strict regulations of the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, Namiki specializes in yukhoe (steak tartare).

Dishes Japan recommends the set meal featuring multiple dishes. Grilling of the meat is handled by a highly trained employee. One of the signature menus is silk loin: a quickly seared marbled meat wrapped around a small rice ball and dipped in a special sauce. The set meal provides a long list of different cuts followed by handmade somen noodles. The meal ends with a shaved ice dessert covered in your choice of flavored topping.
