Mita Basara is accessible either from Tokyo Metro Akabanebashi Station or Mita Station. If you are making your way from Mita station, walk in the direction of Tokyo Tower. The restaurant is housed in the basement of KDX Mita Building.
If you are on a budget, we recommend you consider lunchtime dining when the restaurant offers affordable set meals. Dinner costs significantly more. The lunch set consists of sukiyaki, rice, pickles, miso soup, a side dish and a dessert. If you are up to the challenge, crack the raw egg in the little bowl that it comes in and dip your beef in it. How is that for taste?
Mita Basara’s signature menu is an unusual tomato sukiyaki which has received a one-star Michelin rating for three consecutive years. The ingredients are top-quality: A4-ranked Yamagata beef (A5 is the highest rating), tomatoes, and onions. This combination is flavored with olive oil, garlic and basil to create a meaty yet sweet and spicy flavored base in which to dip your beef. Pasta, which is provided, may be added to the sukiyaki broth for an end of meal finisher for this unique culinary experience.
