First Shabu Shabu Restaurant in Kanto

Zakuro Ginza is situated very close to the Ginza 4-Chome crossing; it is located between Mitsukoshi and Matsuya department stores.

Founded in 1955 in Akasaka, Zakuro Ginza is one of four branches in Tokyo. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and several private rooms. There are two types of private rooms: table seating and a traditional Japanese style tatami room.

Zakuro Ginza serves a multi-course set meal featuring shabu shabu, sukiyaki and steak. The ingredients are top quality, including the A5-ranked Kuroge Wagyu. This particular beef is known to be very marbled; it has a lot of intramuscular fat which appears white in color.

Shabu shabu is served with two dipping sauces made in-house: gomadare (sesame sauce) and ponzu (citrus based sauce). Both sauces are perfect accompaniments to the paper-thin wagyu, which cooks in a matter of seconds in the pot. Pots are beautifully crafted with an impressively tall chimney-like stem in the middle.

Reservation is a must!
