Miyasaka is on the ground floor of a low-rise mixed-use building in a quiet residential area in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. This restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars only 10 months after its opening.
Conveniently located in an exclusive area of Minato-ward, the restaurant is a cozy hideout with relaxed atmosphere. The quiet and calm ambience is reminiscent of Kyoto. The interior has a modern Japanese taste with a traditional Kyoto interior design throughout.
Owner chef, Nobuhisa Miyasaka, honed his skills for 11 years at a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo and for 10 years at the three-star Kaiseki restaurant "Mizai" in Kyoto. The restaurant has counter seating where you can view Miyasaka’s skills up close.
The restaurant only serves an omakase (chef’s choice) course. Only the best seasonal ingredients are used. They are imported from Kyoto and other carefully selected regions throughout Japan. The seasoning is kept simple so that the taste and flavor of the ingredients are enhanced. The white rice--cooked slowly in an earthenware pot-- gives you a sense of the depth of fine Japanese cuisine. Chef Miyasaka makes a conscientious effort to pair his fine dishes with an appropriate recommendation for sake.
Reservation is a must!
Quote from Google Map Review
