Shabusen is located on the second basement floor of a retail building called Ginza Core on Chuo-Dori. Founded in 1971, Shabusen is as an affiliated restaurant with Zakuro.
Finding the appropriate place is a bit confusing because there are two separate sections of the restaurant in the same building. The second-floor section is perfect for groups and families. The other section on the basement level is suitable for one or more persons since there is one cooking pot per person at the counter.
Entering the basement restaurant, you will see three large round counters with chairs surrounding them. One pot is set in front of each seat. You can watch an employee take out the meat wrapped in cloth from the fridge and slice the meat in front of you. A staff member is available to assist you if you need help in cooking.
The representative lunch menu consists of 50g of beef and 50g of pork shabu shabu, assorted vegetables, and rice or red bean rice porridge. You can also mix and match the meat by ordering different types in different portions. If you haven’t had enough of the meat you can always order more. Pour plenty of homemade chili oil into gomadare (sesame sauce), add green onions and spread it around the meat. There is also ponzu (citrus based sauce) for dipping.
The dinner menu is slightly more expensive. We recommend visiting during lunch hours if you are on a budget.
Quote from Google Map Review
