Shiseido Gallery(資生堂ギャラリー)

Since its establishment in 1919, the Shiseido Gallery has been at the forefront of uncovering and promoting new artistic talents and ideas. Through a variety of exhibitions, the non-profit gallery has provided a platform for over 3,100 artists, many of whom went on to become major figures in Japanese art.

In the 1990s, the gallery shifted its focus to contemporary art, showcasing the era’s unique blend of avant-garde contemporaneity and simple purity. In 2001, the gallery found a new home in the underground level of the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building, where its five-meter ceiling makes it the tallest exhibition hall in the district, drawing the attention of both domestic and foreign artists as a premier exhibition venue.
