Ramen with a Spicy Kick that will Stimulate Your Senses

Spice Ramen Manriki is for you if you dig lots of herbs and spices in your soup. The Akihabara branch opened in August 2019 after proving successful at the main branch in Nishi-Kasai, a quiet suburb in Edogawa-ward, Tokyo. The menu is Spice Ramen which can be customized with your choice of extras: additional cilantro, extra spice, and/or extra toppings. If you are allergic to or simply not a fan of cilantro the restaurant can substitute chopped green onions. A unique ethnic interior design blends well with the Indian folk music. The restaurant is located between Akihabara and Okachimachi, about a five-minute walking distance from JR Akihabara Stations’ Showa-dori exit.

Manriki’s ramen is characterized by its original soup made from extracting flavors from chicken, pork, and fish, combined with 14 different spices. The dark soup has a vivid aroma, pungency of spices, and a refreshing sourness that will stimulate your senses. The spicy soup pairs well with the medium-thick noodles. It is truly an addictive dish! Toppings are comprised of cilantro (or chopped green onions), chashu, bean sprouts, chopped onions, chopped green onions, and broccoli. The chashu is a palm-sized piece of rolled pork belly that is so tender that it falls apart easily.

If you're looking for something a little different, something with a punch, please give this restaurant a try.
