A Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurant

Sugita is in Kuramae district. It is located on Kokusai-Dori, only one train stop away from Asakusa Station.

Sugita was first opened in 1977 by the father of the current owner, chef Sato. The interior has a refined ambience. The restaurant has a long wooden counter as well as a traditional Japanese style tatami room.

Chef Sato procures fresh pork from Chiba Prefecture, takes off extra fat, then coats the meat with breadcrumbs before frying to a perfect level of crispiness. An imported lard from Holland is used to create a unique crispy and juicy texture. Every dish comes with shredded cabbage, mustard, and a side order of rice and miso soup.

Fried jumbo prawns and omelet are popular side dishes.

おいしいのは、もちろんですが、清潔な店内、食べ終わった後も、お腹いっぱいなのに、もたれてない。揚げ油も、きれいだったなあ。 Quote from Google Map Review
