Asakusa Ramen Yoroiya is located right off the bustling Nakamise Street.
The restaurant has been featured in the media several times and has also appeared in magazines.
The standard menu consists of soy sauce and yuzu-based soup with broth made from chicken and pork bones, dried sardines, bonito and konbu. One of the specialties is Futago Tamago Ramen (double-yoked egg ramen). Eggs with double yolks are normally rare and it is considered very lucky. Noodles are provided by one of Tokyo’s famous noodle makers, Asakusa Kaikaro.
During the summer season, hiyashi chuka (chilled ramen) or tsukemen (dry ramen noodles with dipping sauce) is served. Tsukemen comes with all the usual toppings that you find in hot ramen, except that it is put on top of cold noodles.
Aside from ramen, customers often order the restaurant’s famous large crispy pan-fried gyoza filled with minced chicken and glass noodles (bean thread noodles) without garlic. Sea salt sansho (ground Japanese pepper with sea-salt) is provided for dipping.
English menus are available as the restaurant is accustomed to tourists.
Soupが極上です。魚介が穏やかに香る上品さ、塩気の角が立たず醤油の甘みさえ感じる円やかさ。和風醤油ラーメンの一つの完成形がここにあります。 Quote from Google Map Review
