Eastland: Tokyo’s Revitalized Bathhouse Oasis

Eastland, a venerable public bathhouse in Nishi-Shinozaki, Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, was established in 1967 and underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2015. This refurbishment introduced state-of-the-art facilities, modernizing the entire premises. The spacious reception area, lobby, and changing rooms comfortably accommodate families with young children.

The bathing area boasts an array of amenities, including carbonated spring baths, electric baths, jet baths, a sauna, a cold plunge pool, and an open-air bath. Access to the sauna incurs an additional fee of 400 yen. The invigorating experience of alternating between the sauna and the bracing cold plunge pool proves exceptionally effective in alleviating bodily fatigue.

Seasonal “event baths,” offering special themed bathing experiences, have garnered significant popularity among patrons.
